The Transaction & Merging of Talents

Evolve Surface Strategies Inc. (Evolve) and Action Land and Environmental Services Ltd. (Action) are pleased to announce a merging of talents between our firms, effective April 1st.

This transaction will see Action become an integral part of the greater Evolve family and continue to operate as Evolve Surface Strategies Inc. The opportunities for our organizations to enhance our respective services will be significantly improved with this amalgamation, for both our existing and prospective clients, and we are very excited for the potential this represents.

Why a Merger
Evolve and Action are very excited about the opportunities that this represents for our respective employees and clients. Bringing together two very strong companies, with like-minded cultures, will not only boost our capacity to deliver quality project execution but will allow us to further diversify our service offerings and the depth of expertise available to our clients. Furthermore, by leveraging the strengths of Action and Evolve – and more importantly embracing our differences – our team members will have the opportunity to further hone their existing talents and lean into new development paths that will support the overall strength and success of our organization as we look towards the future.

Action believes the merger will provide greater access and support for larger projects; enhanced services like GIS, exposure to scaled-up digital business practices with Evolve, and a broader base of opportunities for staff and clients alike in diverse markets and industries. Action Land and Environmental clients will continue to work with their same contacts and maintain the relationships built over the years of success, but with the added strength, expertise, and resources that this merger represents. We believe the Action brand of service, loyal staff, and resilient local presence in South-Eastern Alberta will be a great complement to the Evolve culture.

Evolve is excited to continue to live it’s “Depth and Strength” mandate with the addition of thirty-two (32) new team members and incorporation of two new service offerings – an established Environmental Division and a growing Planning Division. Compliment those exciting new service additions with Action’s reputable land services and long history operating out of Medicine Hat, AB., this bolsters Evolve’s ability to cost effectively service clients in SE Alberta, SW Saskatchewan and Northern Montana.

Our Path Forward
As we begin integration, we look forward to sharing the positive changes and benefits this merger will bring to our clients and the broader market. Evolve will spend time familiarizing the Action staff with key Evolve systems and methodologies and then look to gradually integrate the operational aspects of both teams. Evolve and Action representatives will be reaching out to our valued clients and industry contacts during the month of April to share additional details and answer any questions. In the interim, we would like to share a few key notes:

  • Functionally, there will be no changes to key client contacts, and there will be no disruption to client workflow currently being handled by Action or Evolve
  • Action’s entire Leadership group will remain in active senior roles with the Evolve team and
maintain all existing relationships with clients and staff, as well as be introduced to new ones
  • All current contact information will remain active for both Evolve and Action employees, with
additional information (including updated contact information for Action staff) will be provided
in the coming weeks and months
  • Action’s office location in Medicine Hat will continue to be a hub for the team and exciting
addition through which both organizations can continue to engage with our clients

We look forward to demonstrating how our enhanced service capabilities and increased depth of talented professionals, maintains our reputation as a leader among right of way and land acquisition firms.
